MEET OUR NEWEST MISSIONARY

MEET OUR NEWEST MISSIONARY

Eligible for financial support through Calvary Community Church of Tampa

KEES BOER

I graduated from Florida Bible College in 1981. I know that the Lord Jesus Christ took my sin upon Himself. He took my punishment. He died on the cross and rose from the dead the third day. When I was a little child, I trusted him as Saviour. From that moment on, I knew my sins were gone and I had eternal life. It's all about the cross. I believe that once we are saved, we have eternal life, which includes eternal harmony with God. So, we can never lose that. Though we can be disciplined by God and He will do that to His children.

Kees will not be able to attend our Missions Conference, but he did send this video for you to get a glimpse into his ministry. We want to stand by missionaries who love and faithfully share the gospel. Kees did have this one serious prayer request for Bolivia.

KEES PRAYER REQUEST:

“It's with a bit of a heavy heart that I write this. But please be in prayer for us. This October 20th, there will be a very important election in Bolivia. It will determine if Bolivia goes the way of Venezuela or Cuba. One of the candidates has already made a law that was finally withdrawn that would make it so that if one converts someone to another religion, i.e. shares the Gospel with someone, who gets saved that they could end up in jail for 7 to 11 years.  It would have been considered trafficking.”

We apologize; we are so sorry!

PHONE SERVICE IS DOWN
When lightning struck our church about 5 weeks ago, it knocked out our camera for streaming, several computers, our total phone system and internet capabilities. This has greatly affected our overall ministry. We have slowly returned to full operation except for our phone system

There has been a few complications and set backs, so it has taken longer then we planned to get them back up. Please continue to pray that this gets fixed soon. Thank you for your patience and prayers!

This has greatly affected our regular phone orders to our bookstore. If you have not had a response; it may be that your order was not received. Please email one that is listed below for an answer or to make an order.

The Real Reason We Need A Savior

THE REAL REASON WE NEED A SAVIOR
Dr. Ralph “Yankee” Arnold
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EKg-YG8pSDE
We are warned to flee from the wrath to come. Mat 3:7  But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?
Dwight L Moody said, “The God who tells of the glories of heaven, also tells of the horrors of hell”.
Billy Sunday said, “A man will be in hell less than five minutes before he knows there is one”.
Read the story of Luke 16: 19- 31
Whenever I have taught Bible college students about the story of the rich man and Lazarus, I would always have them study this portion of Scripture and make a list of all the things you garner about a person in hell.
Here are a few reasons to examine your need of a Savior, every family faces death:
This was a rich family:
This was a large family:
This family was visited by death:
This family had one member in hell:
This family had no hope by choice:
Who would have thought that in a brief moment in time:
That a millionaire could be changed into a pauper?
That he could not buy so much as one drop of water?
That riches availed nothing at death?
That he would remember forever deeds he did on the earth?
That once he was in hell, he could never escape?
That their destination was the result of their own decision?
Luke 16:29  Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.
Luke 16:31  And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.
Seven reasons why you should not go to hell:
1.      God does not want you to go to hell
2.      Jesus does not want you to go to hell
3.      The Holy Spirit does not want you to hell
4.      People in heaven do not want you to go to hell
5.      People in hell do not want you to go to hell
a.      Luke 16:27  Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house:
b.      Luke 16:28  For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment.
6.      People that know and love you do not want you to go to hell.
7.     Hell is an awful place that was not prepared for you
Mat 25:41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
Things that the rich man discovered about hell:
1.      Death did not end it all
a.      Luke 16:22  … the rich man also died, and was buried;
b.      Luke 16:23  And in hell he lift up his eyes…,
2.      Hell was real
3.      That a man reaps what he sows even in hell (Luke 16:25)
4.      That there is punishment and torment in hell
5.      That there is a great gulf between heaven and hell (Once dead – destiny is fixed)
6.      That praying to saints availed nothing (Abraham was a good saint, but he could not help)
7.      There are no opportunities for salvation after death (No need to preach the gospel in Hell)
Things that are not found in hell:
1.      There is no peace in hell
Isa 57:21  There is no peace, saith my God, to the wicked.
2.      There is no rest in hell
Rev 14:11  And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, (Forever tired)
3.      There is no joy in hell (There is nothing there to rejoice about)
4.      There is no comfort in hell (Luke 16:25)
5.      There is no water in hell
6.      There is no mercy in hell
Luk 16:24  And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.
7.      There is no hope in hell
a.      Luk 16:26  And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.
b.      Dan 12:2  And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt
c.       Dan 12:3  And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.
If we could get out of hell after a million years or so, perhaps we could afford to take a chance with our never dying soul.
2Co 6:2  (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)
Soul-Winners make a difference
Jude 1:22  And of some have compassion, making a difference
Jude 1:23  And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire;

The Clear Gospel Explains Difficult Passages

THE CLEAR GOSPEL EXPLAINS DIFFICULT PASSAGES

Dr. Ralph “Yankee” Arnold

Introduction: There are many verses in the Bible that seems to say or suggest that a man’s works have a part in his getting salvation or maintaining salvation. If this is true, then salvation cannot be totally by grace alone. The clarity (TRUTH) of the gospel is the lens by which we discern the rest of scripture. We must always seek to understand difficult scriptures by never compromising salvation by grace.

TEXT:        2Ti 2:15  Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

COMPARE ALL DIFFICULT PASSAGES WITH THESE TWO VERSES, IF THEY CONTRADICT IN ANYWAY, THIS MEANS YOUR UNDERSTANDING IS WRONG. Eph 2:8  For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Eph 2:9  Not of works, lest any man should boast.

1.     Verses that seem to say that if you do these certain sins you cannot go to Heaven
a.      I Cor. 6:8-11 “…shall not inherit the kingdom of God?
b.     Gal. 5:19-21, “….they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
c.      Rom. 9:8 and John 3:3-5 states that the lost man or the old man of the flesh is the child of God.

2.     Verses that seem to say that you can fall away and lose your salvation
a.     Heb 6:6     If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance;…”
These verses teach that a believer cannot lose his salvation and then get saved again. There is no story anywhere in the Bible where a believer lost his salvation, nor is there a story in the Bible where a saved person lost his salvation and then got saved again.

b.     Gal. 5:4     “…ye are fallen from grace. You cannot fall from where you have never been. If a believer falls for a perverted gospel (Gal. 1:6-9), he can teach or promote a false message. If you teach that a man can do good works to be saved then you must set aside the only salvation offered by grace. (Gal. 2:21)

3.     Verses that seem to say that you MUST do good works after you are saved
a.     Jas 2:17  Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
b.     Eph 2:10  For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. Yes, it is the will of God that all believers SHOULD walk in good works but our eternal salvation does not require that we MUST.

4.     Verse that seem to say that you MUST endure until the end; which implies that your works do determine your salvation.
Mat 24:13  But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
Does enduring on our part contradict "...not of works or not of yourselves?" YES, then it cannot refer to spiritual or eternal salvation by grace. The word END is mentioned three times in this 24th chapter of Matthew.
Mat 24:3  And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? If enduring until the end refers to the end of the world (age) then only those people that live that long will be saved. (NOT)
Mat 24:6  And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. The word END must refer to a period of time that would be the exact time for everyone, if our eternal salvation depended upon how we live. You could only die at this one point in time. SORRY, there are no options.
Mat 24:14  And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.  This clearly shows that it is a reference to a period of time during the 7 year tribulation which is yet future. It can only refer to those of Israel who are physically alive at the end of the tribulation.
