Pastor Yankee Arnold Update on Church Closure
Due to this new order provided by the
County to comply with the Executive Orders issued by the Governor of the State
of Florida, the Board of Elders will implement the following decisions as of
this date: March 18, 2020.
The Board
of Elders did not make this decision because our faith is weak, but because we
have loved ones whose bodies are weak, frail, have pre-existing conditions, and
(to their own detriment) may follow our example instead of their own conscience.
We do not desire to force godly people to be placed into proving their faith by attending
services or provoking guilt on those
who chose to stay home.
Plus, if
we are to pray that the Lord would guide our governmental leaders; then we
should obey them when and where we can to live a quiet and peaceful life in all
godliness and honesty.
1 Timothy 2:1-8 (KJV)
1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
6 Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.
7 Whereunto I am ordained a preacher, and an apostle, (I speak the truth in Christ, and lie not;) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity.
8 I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.

Pastor
Yankee,
Given
the recent guidance on limiting social gatherings, as stated by the CDC and
President Trump,
Jay
& Mary Ann will not be attending
in-person
church services. We are hopeful that the services will still be able to be
streamed on the Internet, but understand if that is not done.
We
look forward to seeing you all when the guidance indicates that the
restrictions are no longer being recommended.
We
must limit our social exposure so that we can attempt to ensure that we are not
potentially carrying illness to vulnerable members of our family who have
significant health concerns.
We
will be mailing in our offerings.
Jay and Mary Ann
