“Yankee and Wally in 2021 Spring Camp”

It had been 15 years since Wally and I worked together in camp. Sometimes adverse winds come across our paths and we are forced to adjust our sails. At our age, we have made many adjustments. Jane had a slip near the pool and fell on her right shoulder. Wally took her to the hospital last Wednesday night in Corpus Christi, Texas. They traveled back to Pharr on Thursday. The doctor said it was not broke but would take about 6-8 weeks to heal. Please keep them both in your prayers.

Tyler and Grace Hamby are missionaries of Calvary Community Church of Tampa, Florida. It was great to see Tyler doing what he was trained to do at Florida Bible College of Tampa. If you would like to have a part in giving financial support for this dedicated young couple, please send your gift to the Calvary Community Church/Missions 4811 George Road. Tampa, Fla. 33634. (Signify for Tyler)

Evangelist Freddie Coile prepares to give a dedication message for the campers. Freddie is the ideal camp speaker that knows how to relate to teens in this so-called modern world. He is a super defender of the gospel of grace.

Wally and Jane put together a great staff of speakers, camp leaders, counselors, and activities. A good number indicated they would trust Jesus Christ as their Savior, plus many accepted the challenge to serve the Lord. Great camp!!!

“A BIG SURPRISE FOR ME”

Many years ago, while traveling through Louisiana on I-10, Betty and I stopped in to eat some seafood at Don’s Seafood Restaurant. I led the manager to the Lord and then he got his entire staff together so I could tell them how to go to Heaven. As far as I know, they all indicated to me that they would trust the Lord. He had a brother that also trusted the Lord and wanted me drive to his restaurant about 40 miles away and share the gospel with his staff. This was Mike and Don Landry. I have not seen them in about 30 years. Betty and I decided to stop by on our way to Georgia on Friday to see them. They were not there, but I took this picture that was hanging on the wall. I hope you like it even those the Buccaneers stopped the New Orleans Saints from progressing to the Super Bowl. This is a picture of Mike with Coach Sean Payton.

Hillsdale College President Larry P. Arnn speaks to friends and supporters of Hillsdale College in Tampa, Florida. http://lp.hillsdale.edu/receptions/ Betty and I was privileged to hear him with our good friend, Barbara J. Yoder, General Manager of Salem Media Group in Tampa. He is funny, serious, and a true patriot of American freedoms. Hear him when he is in your area.

 WARNING TO ALL PREACHERS

Is it possible for those of us who preach the gospel of Jesus Christ, to be guilty of muddying the message without being aware that we are in reality blinding the lost to see the truth? Now that I am approaching 80 years of age, I am truly heart-broken that so many pastors, missionaries, evangelists, and Bible colleges are promoting a gospel of mass destruction instead of the pure, clear, gospel.

The gospel is not to be what we want it to be, but what God says it is. We have no authority from God to add our opinions to it. This messages reveals 20 statements made by most preachers every week that are totally contrary to the truth of the gospel. Instead of the salvation of souls, churches are guilty of mass destruction due to a false hope in a false gospel.
