Pastor Yankee Arnold Update on Church Closure

Pastor Yankee Arnold Update on Church Closure
Due to this new order provided by the County to comply with the Executive Orders issued by the Governor of the State of Florida, the Board of Elders will implement the following decisions as of this date: March 18, 2020.

The Board of Elders did not make this decision because our faith is weak, but because we have loved ones whose bodies are weak, frail, have pre-existing conditions, and (to their own detriment) may follow our example instead of their own conscience.  We do not desire to force godly people to be placed into proving their faith by attending services or provoking guilt on those who chose to stay home.

Plus, if we are to pray that the Lord would guide our governmental leaders; then we should obey them when and where we can to live a quiet and peaceful life in all godliness and honesty.

1 Timothy 2:1-8 (KJV)
1  I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
2  For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
3  For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
4  Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
5  For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
6  Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.
7  Whereunto I am ordained a preacher, and an apostle, (I speak the truth in Christ, and lie not;) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity.
8  I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.

Pastor Yankee,

Given the recent guidance on limiting social gatherings, as stated by the CDC and President Trump,

Jay & Mary Ann will not be attending
in-person church services. We are hopeful that the services will still be able to be streamed on the Internet, but understand if that is not done.
We look forward to seeing you all when the guidance indicates that the restrictions are no longer being recommended.

We must limit our social exposure so that we can attempt to ensure that we are not potentially carrying illness to vulnerable members of our family who have significant health concerns.

We will be mailing in our offerings.
Jay and Mary Ann

ENCOURAGEMENT: (Remember the four TALKS to stay spiritually strong.)
PRAYER talk to God, READ the Word and let God talk to you, Talk to believers by phone with some truth to believe or need to share, and SUPPORT your Church with finances as possible to continue reaching the lost.

1.      Prayer for Leader in Government and church
2.      Prayer for believers to be strong in faith
3.      Prayer for lost to realize the importance of knowing the Lord.
4.      More people are watching our streaming – Sunday was up 15%
5.      Bars are closing
6.      People are re-evaluating their values of what’s important
7.      People are realizing the importance of secure borders
8.      Causing our nation to get on the same page due to a common enemy

THESE TIMES ARE OPPORTUNITIES THAT COULD FURTHER THE GOSPEL

2 Timothy 2:9 (KJV)
9  Wherein I suffer trouble, as an evil doer, even unto bonds; but the word of God is not bound.

Philippians 1:12-13 (KJV)
12  But I would ye should understand, brethren, that the things which happened unto me have fallen out rather unto the furtherance of the gospel;
13  So that my bonds in Christ are manifest in all the palace, and in all other places;

I John 3:9 Correctly Explained

I have never seen a portion of scripture so mutilated as much as I John 3:9. The following notes will help guide you along with the video. Have you ever heard that if you are really saved, you will not want to go out and sin? Or if you are really saved, you might occasionally sin but you won't practice sin. I apologize for the jumps in the video but please bear with it.

NOTES ON TODAY'S MESSAGE

 “I John 3:9 Correctly Explained”
Ralph “Yankee” Arnold
(I John 3:9 “Is it “Prasso” to Practice or “Poieo” not one single act?)

TEXT:         I John 3:4-10

                    What Christ came to do was to destroy the Devil’s work

 I.  From Lawlessness to Righteousness 3:4-7
A.   Sin is Lawlessness 3:4
The Definition of Sin: “Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.”
B.   Christ took away sin 3:5,6
1. His Purpose    “ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins;”
2. His Person        “and in him is no sin.”
3. The Result of Abiding           “Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not:”
 To abide speaks of the believer’s:
·      Position in Christ that does not and cannot change
·      Walk in obedience to God’s Word which can change moment by moment
Remember; perfectly abiding brings perfect obedience, but due to our old nature, perfect abiding & obedience is impossible. Sin is the Christian’s life is the result of not abiding in Christ, but walking in the flesh.

“whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.”, is a reference to the Old Man (child of the Devil). These scriptures are more easily understood if they are perceived as a comparison to the Old Man (from saved man or lost man) and the New Man (Christian only).

C.   Christ Produces Righteousness 3:7
“Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.”
I.     From Sin to Love 3:8-10
A.   Sin is from the Devil 3:8a          “He that committeth sin is of the devil;
B.   Christ Destroyed the Works of the Devil 3:8b-9
“For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.  Whosoever is born of God (New Birth) doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.”
C.   Christ Produces Righteousness and Love 3:10”In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.”
Therefore, if a child of God abides in the Lord, he too will produce acts of righteousness and love.
I John 3:9 “Is it “Prasso” to Practice or “Poieo” not one single act?
Greek Strong's Number: 4238
Greek Word: πράσσω
Phonetic Pronunciation:pras'-so

Usage Notes: English Words used in KJV:

“Prasso”               Greek – 4238         to “practise”, i.e. perform repeatedly or habitually  (thus differing from (poieo), which properly refers to a single act);
Greek Strong's Number: 4160
Greek Word: ποιέω
Phonetic Pronunciation:poy-eh'-o
 “Poieo”                Greek - 4160 which properly refers to a single act;

ILLUSTRATION OF THE TWO TREES
Jesus explains the two natures
Mat 7:17  Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil
                fruit.
Mat 7:18  A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, (Cannot bring forth one single evil fruit)
neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. (Cannot bring forth one single good fruit)
Mat 7:19  Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
Mat 7:20  Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. (Remember: The Believer has two natures)

THE BELIEVER'S HOPE
Isaiah 35:3-4 (KJV)
3  Strengthen ye the weak hands, and confirm the feeble knees.
4  Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you.

This is an important message on how to face the most deadliest virus known to man. It is 100% fatal and there is only one anti-dote. Perhaps this message will help calm your fears or someone you love.
 2 Timothy 1:7 (KJV)
7  For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
