Can you believe that a 71 year old grandmother would go the jungles of Belize to go zip-lining?

Well, we did. Gavin, our guide, trusted the Lord and has written me two short notes.

Hi Dr. how u doing? it was with great pleasure to meet with you and ur family, as well the knowledge you openly shared with my self  and the people. everywhere i go now thats a question i ask "where do u go wen u die" and the conversation becomes endless.

Hey Pastor, thanks so much for assisting me in finding the truth. I really hope all is well with you and the family.

On board the ship, I had the opportunity to witness to several of the crew members. About 5 trusted the lord. One young lady from the Philippians  kept asking me questions until I just knew she would get into trouble. Her boss came by and approached me. He asked if I could conduct a Bible study. That night at midnight, those in the picture showed up for a 40 minute Bible study. They represented many countries. They were wonderful people.

After driving by bus for a hour and a half into the jungle, would you believe we met a young girl who worked on staff who had heard of Greg Stier with Dare 2 Share from Colorado? When I explained to her that Jesus would rather die than live without her having a chance to go to Heaven, she teared up and graciously trusted Christ as her savior. 

Friend, I get accused of preaching an "easy believe-ism". It is a badge of honor that I wear proudly. I have never met a saved person who has done more than just believe to be saved. If anyone must do more than believe (which is trusting what Christ did), it would require works (which is trusting what man can do). To tell a lost man to turn from sins to be saved is to tell him to stop being bad. To tell a lost man to commit his life to Christ in service in order to be saved is to tell him he must start being good. This is a message that is hard to explain and impossible for a lost man to perform.

The good news of the Gospel is that it is FREE by faith alone. This is easy even for a child to understand. When you add one work to a free gift it opens a whole can of worms. That is what happens when you make the Gospel HARD to understand. What right (preachers included) does anyone have to add works to the Gospel? When we make the Gospel clear or easy to understand, shouldn't it be easy for a person to believe? What would be our purpose in making it HARD TO BELIEVE? Remember, believing on Christ is not a commitment to serve but a decision to trust.

BELIEVE ON THE LORD JESUS CHRIST AND THOU SHALT BE SAVED.
