Traveling Update with Texas Friends

We left Wally
and Jane in Pharr, drove about 600 miles and was ready to have a great
relaxing evening with Charlie and Karen Bing in Burleson, Texas. We also
got to meet his beautiful daughter, Laurie. Charlie is a missionary of Calvary
Community Church of Tampa and preaches a solid clear gospel around the world.
His home is in the prettiest spot we have seen in Texas.
We did not
really want to eat this cake and ice cream, but we did not want to offend
Charlie and his wife, so we ate it all up. I even licked the bowl; boy was it
good. Celebrating our 60th anniversary at every stop is rough to do,
but we will manage somehow. They did treat us to Texas Bar-B-Que Monday
evening.
I asked Bob
Wilkins and Shawn Lazar of Grace Evangelical Society to meet with me
on Tuesday for breakfast in Flower Mounds, Texas. I wanted to talk to them
about the conflicts we have in the contents of the gospel. I think we both
enjoyed hashing over our differences but with little progress being made. They
were both exceedingly kind, friendly and exhibited a loving spirit and they did
pay for my breakfast.

Adams (right) had
his Pastor Warren Johnson and Florida Bible College grad, Danny O’Leary
meet for lunch at Cracker Barrel North of Dallas. We enjoyed swapping stories
while making new friends.
We men talked about the things of the Lord while the
women went shopping. You should see how much money they saved us. Pauline
will graduate from Florida Bible College of Tampa next year.
I had the privilege of speaking at Mike and Nancy McFarlin’s church (Lake Country Bible Church) last
night in Mineola, Texas. They are also searching for a solid grace
preacher to take their church. Mike conducted the funeral services for Dr. A.
Ray Stanford back in 2012. Nancy goes back to the original Miami Christian
Youth Ranch days of 1955 where she trusted the Lord. Betty and I enjoyed their
