2018 TEEN CAMP with Yankee & Jesse

About 40 years ago, I walked down the hallway of the Arvada Christian School. A young boy was about to enter his classroom when I placed my hand on his shoulder and said, “Young man, one day God is going to use you to shake the world”. About 25 years later, Greg Stier told me that he remembered this incident.

Greg graduated from our Christian School and went off to Bible College. After starting “Grace Church” with another fired up young man, Rick Long, he ventured into his present ministry called Dare 2 Share.

When Greg was in Lakeland, Florida, (6 years ago) he brought around 4,000 teenagers to my 70th birthday party. Well, I did have cake and ice cream at his Dare 2 Share meeting.
Only in eternity, will the impact of be known. The Lord has used Greg to bring the Gospel to hundreds of thousands young teens. I am very proud of Greg Stier’s passion for souls. God has used Greg to reach and train youth leaders across the United States.

Here is a brief testimony from Greg about our mutual vision to reach the lost for Christ.

“God has given me the privilege of equipping over a million teenagers to clearly share their faith through the ministry of Dare 2 Share. Our vision is 'every teen everywhere hearing the Gospel from a friend.' We are, by God’s grace, seeing unprecedented momentum as the Gospel spreads from teen to teen across the nation and around the world. And none of this would have been possible without Dr. Ralph “Yankee” Arnold. He reached my entire body-building, tobacco-chewing, beer-drinking, fist-throwing inner city family for Jesus. He equipped us to share the Gospel with clarity and confidence. And he inspired me to reach a generation of teenagers with the Gospel. I am so deeply grateful to the man God used to give me a burden for souls and the tools to reach them. Without Pastor Arnold's influence in my life I’m convinced Dare 2 Share wouldn’t exist today.” Greg Stier, CEO and Founder of Dare 2 Share.

I would also like to mention the man who played a great part in my Christian life. His name was Dr. A. Ray Stanford. He was the founder and president of the original Florida Bible College. He taught us the youth ministry, how to run camps for teenagers, and how to share the gospel.

Jesse and Kyla Martinez work with our youth here at Calvary. Pastor Jesse is a graduate of Florida Bible College of Tampa. A properly run Ranch (youth meetings) and camps are the key tools in producing leaders. Many times people have said, “If I had the workers Yankee has, I could build a great ministry too.” My answer is, “We use our church, ranch, and camps to build our workers.” Greg Stier attended our camps, our youth ministry, and our church. Ministries are for the purpose of building laborers for the harvest.

We do have online classes for those who cannot come to our facilities here. However, we strongly believe that the best way to learn the ministry is to be in the ministry. Our college gives students this very opportunity. It is more caught that taught. You must see it done and be involved.

Many FBC grads brought teens from across America to attend the Christian Youth Ranch Summer Conference that was held by the Florida Bible College. Students had to see the place, feel the excitement, hear the Jim Tingen Story, and learn the joy of serving the Lord.

Florida Bible College of Tampa is a continuation of this great heritage. Here is how you can play a part in preparing young men for the youth ministry.

1.      Help send or bring some young teenager to our Summer Camp.

2.      No money-no problem. We trust the Lord to supply our needs. Living by faith is living by the confidence that others have in what you are doing.

3.      Hook-ups are available for parents to bring RV's (30 & 50) amps. (No additional charge for RV hook-up), and no children under 13. All children must room with campers.ok-ups are available for parents to bring RV's (30 & 50) amps. (No additional charge for RV hook-up), and no children under 13. 4.   Give yourself to prayer that scholarship funds could be afforded to students who desire a good Bible education at Florida Bible College but lack the funds.

5.      Recommend FBC of Tampa to those you know that want to learn the youth ministry.
